A wonderful counting game to pick "who's it" or "not it." There are many variations to encourage wordplay for pre-k children.
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, Catch a tiger by the toe. If he hollers, let him go, Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. My mother told me to pick the very best one and you - are - it!
There are many common variations, such as replacing tiger with "piggy", "tinker", "tigger", "chicken", "monkey", "baby", "spider", "teacher", "miner", a two-syllable name, etc.
Try changing the verb in the third line to "screams", "wiggles", "squeals" or another verb.
The last two lines are often changed to "if he hollers, make him pay, fifty dollars every day."
