Walter A. Dyer (1878-1943), an American author and journalist, came to be known as one of the most prolific writers of dog stories. He wrote for the Springfield Union and became the managing editor of Country Life in America from 1906-1914. We feature his World War I novel dedicated to the Belgian relief efforts, titled Pierrot, Dog of Belgium. It is featured in our collection of WWI Books.
